So I finally decided to upgrade from Fedora 7 to 9, and I'm loving it. In the process I went ahead and did a clean install. I'm still liking the aftermath shot by kowoolo, so I decided to make yet another shot with a few modifications. Anyway, details below.
XFCE4 | Fedora 9 | Compiz-fusion
Apps:
gtk: me (base mist and pixmap engine) emerald: me tint: me (as you can see I decided to reverse the transparency so that the tasks are transparent, lol) carrier: ( pidgin fork, made some small icons, nothing special and added some transparency with compiz and removed the border as well) xchat rox-filer: with all black icons xfterm edit: name says it all, its a text editor gxine: background image i made to sort of match, once again nothing special firefox font: lime
xfce popup menu: very small, cool stuff contact list: also very cool pidgin tree view arrows firefox tabs (when there are tabs^^)
Questions i have^^:
does roxfiller have no menubar? Also your texteditor? how con you remove just one border? (pidgin buddy list) Where do you change the arrows for tree view? path? Im always afraid of renaming groups since i lost all of my contacts by doing this. The only thing i argue about are the low possibilities customizing the buddy list.
What panel do you use? The right one seems to be xfce panel, but the ledt one? Whit out icons. Is it bmpanel?

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
